In the 8th 10 in 10 article, we take a look at the second incarnation of GhostSpeed in the World Championship, GhostSpeed Engineering. Following on from a rather disappointing last year, finishing in 9th, GhostSpeed Engineering will try to recover from their losses and hope for a fresh and welcoming start to the new 2017 season. Their driver line-up for this year consists of the ever-present Blair Disley with Kamil Lyzwa alongside.
Blair Disley has been here for a decade now. He started off in the World Championship in 2007 having a decent debut season by finishing 8th in the Driver Standings. His peak was predominantly in his 2008 and 2009 seasons where he finished 6th and 5th respectively after taking his first win in China 2008 where he narrowly defended off 3 time champion Bruno Marques. This year though, Blair will be hoping for a change in luck after a very lacklustre 2016 campaign.
Kamil Lyzwa on the other hand is very much considered the new boy in Formula SimRacing. He lead a very surprising debut in World Championship and was mixing it up with the field almost immediately, even achieving a remarkable 4th place in Hungary. As the commentators would often say last season “If Lyzwa’s near, you’re in for an exciting battle.”

We managed to catch up with both drivers earlier.
What are your goals for the upcoming season?
Blair: “I will be driving as good as I can. Should be Top 10.”
Kamil: “My goal for the 2017 season is Top 5 and do anything to get it.”
Who do you think will be your biggest rival this season?
Blair: “If I’m in the midfield, probably too many to list as it can get quite close!
Kamil: “I feel very motivated and prepared. I think that the level of WC is so high that it is difficult to talk about one of a few strongest rivals.”
How strong do you think the grid looks this year?
Blair: “There may be faster drivers elsewhere. I wouldn’t say current FSR drivers are slow though.”
Kamil: “Grid will be very strong this year, despite the absence of several excellent drivers from last season. Let’s get started already!”
