Scuderia Basilea was founded in early 2013, when David (as a coordinator of Tiger Express Motorsports' rFactor 1 Division) took over the team assets for the GPVWC Supercup and entered it under the new name, which is still the same as now.

As they embark on a new chapter in their history in 2016, Scuderia have maintained a low key and private approach as they enter Formula SimRacing for the 1st time. They still currently only have the 1 driver for the new season, but hopefully before the season starts they will have a full lineup.

Despite the recruitment issues, the team has pressed on and released their 2016 challenger, which you can see above.

We managed to catch up with David, to ask him what he hoped for in his 1st season of Formula SimRacing.

"I have no big expectations/goals for the season. Priority is to finish races as much as possible, without losing too much ground to the established teams.

I'd like to have as much fun during this season as possible. Not just doing it for success, wins & money. There'd be no use in taking part if there was no fun."
