11 in 11 - VBMadcape Season Preview
In today’s article we take a look at VBMadcape, and take an inside look at how they’re shaping up heading into the new season
Nina Simone once sang ‘It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life, for me, and I'm feeling good.’
Because this year it’s a new dawn for Madcape, they have re-invented themselves, almost from top to bottom. After 2 half-hearted attempts at Formula SimRacing (despite 1 World Championship race win) the team have partnered up with Mike Pitman and his Vod:Bul Racing outfit over at GPVWC to form VBMadcape for 2016.
Their capture of Jim Parisis is a massive coup for them, and will certainly raise the hopes and spirits of those in the camp. Jim brings along his long-time friend George Manousakis, the 2 have worked together for many years, and have a vast knowledge of how the league works, and knowledge of the workings of other Formula SimRacing teams. This type of information could be a key factor, and play a huge role on whether or not this partnership will be a success.
This is the strongest VBMadcape have ever looked in FSR, for many of the new arrivals behind the scenes they may look at this year as a learning year, but with Jim and George behind the wheel, they are capable of challenging from the off.

We managed to catch up with both drivers and asked them what they thought about the season ahead.
"I'm glad to be back racing again. Everything is new this season for me and I will enjoy every moment for sure. My new team, VBMadcape, is a fantastic team. I felt really comfortable in the team from the very beginning and things only got better when I learned that I will have George as my team mate. We are facing some problems in these early days but we are working hard to find solutions. The car in the pre-season testing doesn't give as a specific feel as many changes were made and who knows, maybe there will be even more to come. As I said, everything is different this season for me, but nothing can stop us from working hard. I will not set any personal hopes or goals. Lets just see."
"I am very happy to be part of the VBMadCape team. Everything is working very well. I know my team mate Jim many years and we were team mates again in the past. I want to thank VBMadCape team for giving me the opportunity to drive for them and looking forward for a good season.
My goals for the new season are to win as many points I can for my team and to have clean and fair races."
