World Series - Rasmus Tali Dominates in Bahrain
World Series
Saturday, 06 March 2010 19:39

Rasmus Tali Rasmus Tali Formula-SimRacing leapt into the unknown today with the first round of the 2010 World Series in Bahrain.

Rasmus Tali of Precision Motorsports took pole position and he lead the race comfortably from start to finish, with David Martinez and Stefan Kanitz fighting for 2nd right to the chequered flag, with Martinez managing to hold on to the position. A great performance from Mattias Stahre saw the Swedish driver take 4th place after starting at the back of the field and making several overtaking moves. Cyril Werdmuller took 5th, Petter Kaasa finished 6th, Andrey Yakimenko was 7th with Job van der Geest taking 8th.

The race saw some great clean battles such as those between Stahre and Bengtsson, Wezenberg and Kaasa and between Bengtsson and Kaasa to name only a few.

Last years champion team Twister-Racing had a toilsome race, far away from their dominant form of 2009. A spin from Joakim Bengtsson in the closing stages also eliminated teammate Lukas Euler, leading to zero points for Twister’s first team.

As impressive as FSR's first 2010 season race has been, have a look at this screenshot from the Qualifying result on the right.

The next events on Bahrain will be the World Trophy (12:00GMT) and the AutoGP World Championship (18:00), Live!
