Precision Motorsports Teamlaunch
World Championship
Thursday, 04 March 2010 20:59

After thorough preparations Precision Motorsports has today, on March 2nd, the joy of unveiling its line-up and 2010 machinery, which will be the team's third Formula SimRacing car, codenamed PrM-003. The presentation was held at the Nürburgring GP Circuit where the liveries for both team #1 (Precision Motorsports) and team #2 (Leoncavallo Precision Motorsports) were presented exclusively for the press.
Featuring a striking pattern of black and white, mixed with a yellow and red variant, the painting schemes will carry something of the team's history, but yet bring an evolution of the much-liked 2009 design. The team wants to direct special thanks to the artist Juan Diego Sánchez.

Shortly after the car presentation, the team took the opportunity to announce its 2010 line-up, which no doubt includes a splendid mix of talent. World Championship team #1, in the yellow variant, will not surprisingly be piloted by Finn Jaakko Mikkonen, 3rd placed in the 2009 championship, and Dutch Bono Huis, who has shown impressive pace. The second team, in red colors, will be driven by Finn John-Eric Saxén and the recent acquisition, Ronny Hähnel from Germany. In World Series, the team will equally feature 4 drivers. Rasmus Tali and Mattias Stahre will represent Estonia and Sweden in team #1, Cyril Werdmuller and David Martinez Netherlands and Spain in team #2. In World Trophy familiar names Allar Foht (Estonia) and Ajibola Lawal (Great Britain) will continue from where they left of last season. The second team will be piloted by Emre Uysal from Turkey and newcomer Pedro Melim from Portgual.

Teammanager Ondrej Kuncman commented: "I am delighted things are just getting better for Precision Motorsports. Last year in the summer we started with nothing and had to build everything from nearly zero. Our team have been working extremely hard throughout end of last year and over the winter and everyone in the team is looking forward to the start of the season in Bahrain. I am thankful to every team member who has helped us to get where we are right now.
The new car PrM-003 is a logical evolution of last year's PrM-002 and so far we can be relatively confident with its pace. I say relatively because we never know what the others are doing. Our team have been working extremely hard throughout the winter and everyone at the team is looking forward to the start of the season in Bahrain. We have set ourselves very challenging objectives - winning all 6 titles FSR offers in 2010 season, however competition is very strong so we have to wait and see how situation develops over the first few races. I can't wait for the season to begin."

Teamowner Johannes Kunkel commented: "So we go into our third season in Formula Simracing already. The team looks very strong now and I am looking forward to the first race. In the last half year the team experienced a complete turnover which already showed the first results in the 2nd half of the 2009 Season. For 2010 we have the task to at least keep this high level and like Ondrej said we want to be in the fight for all 6 titles in FSR. I want to wish everyone in FSR a great and entertaining season."
