Japan would host Round 11 at Suzuka Circuit. This penultimate round would decide the Driver's Championship.
Round 11 of the Formula-SimRacing ACE Championship took place at Suzuka Circuit. Twister Racing teams were dominant, taking pole position and wins in both races. Despite this, Jiri Toman would take home the Drivers' Championship this weekend after a late race crash and DNF by Muhammed Patel in Race 2.
Qualifying would see five Twister cars make it to the second session, with Marco Conti taking Pole. His 1:31.678 was just 0.004 seconds ahead of Patel. Leitner, Toman and Klop would round out the top 5.
Japan would prove to have a high attrition rate, Race 1 sees ten drivers retiring. Nine of those retirements would be in the first ten laps. Big names in this group would be Jonny Simon and Artyom Aslamazyan. Twister Racing's Patel, Conti, and Klop would fill the podium, much to the annoyance to Precision duo of Jiri Toman (4th) and Martin Hodás. Hodás did manage to take 11th, an impressive drive from having a Back of Grid Penalty. This is Muhammed Patel's 6th win of the season, matching points leader Jiri Toman.
Race 2 would see the first Red Flag of the season. After lap 2, the race would be restarted by the Race Director. Despite the restart, the race would see more attrition. Among those was were championship hopeful Muhammed Patel, retiring on lap 12 in an incident which almost claimed Jiri Toman. Rens Klop would go on to win his 2nd Sprint race in a row, followed by newly crowned champion Jiri Toman. Netrex driver Alvaro Torres would stand atop the last step of the podium.
Round 12 will be at Circuit of the Americas on October 18th. Precision drivers Jiri Toman and Martin Hodás have an 8 point deficit to make up to replicate their World Championship teammates and win the Constructors' Championship. They will face Twister Racing's Muhammed Patel and Marco Conti at the American circuit.
