In today’s article, we look at Twister Racing and their drivers ahead of the start of the World Championship season. When you hear the word Twister, you immediately think of 2015. The team that dominated 2015 were just inched out at the end of 2016 by a charging Origin Front Row Racing even by their best efforts of bringing back the 2015 champion, Petar Brljak, in the latter part of the season.

This year though, they are back to reclaim the top spot. Twister have managed to field an extremely talented, experienced and all Italian line up with veteran Eros Masciulli lining up alongside teammate and team owner Michele D’Alessandro. They’ve even gone back to their routes with the livery as well by choosing the traditional colour of a very eye catching blue.

Eros has been in the Sim Racing scene for a long time now. Having been in Formula SimRacing since 2012, battling in the World Championship for the majority of that time, as well as taking some races in lower divisions such as ACE. Albeit with all this experience, the one thing which still ignores him is that elusive World Championship Race Win.

On the other side of the garage, we see a very explosive Michele D’Alessandro. He is part of the exclusive club of race winners, after taking his one and only victory in Austria last year under the wing of Netrex GP. Michele must be hoping for at least a few more race wins to come his way this season and is hoping he can lead the Italian team to a Constructors Championship.

We managed to catch up with Michele and Eros to see their thoughts on the season ahead.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

Michele: “For my second year in FSR WC, my goal this year is to be close to the fastest drivers during the entire season, be more consistent and fight for more wins.”

Eros: “After getting a title stolen on GPVWC from me last season, I would like to have some good results here, just trying to do my best.”

Who do you think will be your biggest rival this season?

Michele: “Honestly, I think our biggest rivals as a team are Madcape and GhostSpeed, especially Parisis and Simoncic, they will be very fast this season.”

Eros: “I don’t know a lot about the grid but my teammates are for sure really strong and will be good for me to compare my racecraft with them.”

How strong do you think the grid looks this year?

Michele: “Probably, it’s not one of the strongest grids ever but it didn’t change a lot from last year. We have only one big loss the world champion, Kweekel, but we still have very good drivers.”
