Getting Started

Registration

There are several places you need to register at first to start driving in the Formula SimRacing league.
1. Register on the GPCOS website. This place maintains your career and this is where you'll enter (allocate) yourself for races. There you can also download the rules.
2. Register on the Formula SimRacing Forums for news on your series such as qualifying schedules, postrace checks, etc.
3. Finally you have to pay for your licence. You can do this by clicking here to be taken to payment screens. A full walkthrough of how to pay and what information to put in is available there.
4. Once paid, an administrator will activate your account and you can start racing!

Downloading the FSR 2010 Mod

FSR runs on rFactor 1.255F
You can download the Official Formula SimRacing 2010 Mod here. The Mod is totally free of charge.

Race Weekends

Before the Race-Weekend
1. Allocate for the race in your Control Center when you login to the GPCOS website. This confirms your participation in the race and without it you will not be allowed to start.
2. Read the rules fully. You will then know what behaviour is expected from you.
3. Follow the GPCOS news! It is vital to know about track downloads, updates etc etc. Also take a look at your categorie's forum to see how the race weekends beforehand have worked.
4. Test your installation several days before the race on the FSR Server to make sure everything is running smoothly. We have a help forum if you run into trouble.
5. Ask any questions well beforehand. People are here to help you get prepared but don't save them all for the race day itself! If you're unsure of anything, double check with an Administrator.

Race Day
1. Get the password from your Control Center on the GPCOS website, the password will be there aswell as the server IP address.
2. Open FSR Manager (anti cheat protection tool), add the race-number (0=test-race), select driver profile (must be your real name!), add server password and hit launch. Please be in the server at least 15 minutes prior to qualifying.
3. In the game don't chat when marshall says: NO CHAT, otherwise you may get banned for the race
4. Should qualifying (Q1) be split into two groups, the top 26 will be posted on the relevant forum.

5. Once qualifying (Q1) is done DO NOT close rfactor but rename your hotlap to your name and the circuit you raced on (e.g. Simon_Smith_Silverstone_Q1). You must do this manually.

6. Do not close rfactor during the course of a race meeting. Should rfactor crash inbetween qualifying and the race, remember to restart rfactor via FSR Manager.
7. Respect each other on track. Poor race craft will not be tolerated.
8. Enjoy! It's what we all love!

After the Race
1.Close rfacor and FSR Manager and load FSR File Sumbit Tool
2. Enter your Q1 hotlap and your log file for the race (found in FSR tools/logs/)
3. Press submit! Remember to then post in the forum saying you did so in the file submission thread for the race. There is a strict deadline for this and files recieved after that date are not counted.
4. You can also send your files to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  should FSR File Submit not work for whatever reason.
5. You can discuss your race in the forums, write your own comments in your career log on GPCOS and then watch the broadcast at MultiBC which is usually available to download or stream within 48 hours. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Files that do not fulfill to these requirements will not be checked and you will be either disqualified or penalised.

Best of luck in your Formula SimRacing career!
